U.S. Coast Guard, Aviation Training Center
This work was located in Mobile, Alabama and was completed in order to provide the rehabilitation and renovation of the Major M&R Medical Clinic at the Aviation Training Center for the U.S. Coast Guard. Building S24, where the work took place, is a single-story building of masonry construction with a built-up roof system over a metal deck and steel frame construction. The original building was constructed in 1968 with an addition of the dental clinic and pharmacy completed in 2004. The complete facility is approximately 12,500 square feet. RAAD Construction completed the following divisions on this project: asbestos abatement, unit masonry, metal framing and ladders, rough and finish carpentry, roofing, steel, wood, and coiling doors, aluminum windows, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpeting, paints and coatings, medical equipment, blinds, casework, plumbing, laboratory chemical waste and vent piping, HVAC; including commissioning, BACnet DDC systems, air handling units, electrical, telecommunications, and radio and public address systems.
